Eating 3 serving of vegetables and fruits and also drinking water 6-8 glasses per day are food I eat that are close to the recommendation in the Filipino Food Guide. In the recommendation of meals according to nutritional recommendations for Filipinos by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute, I eat lots of meats which exceed the serving requirement of up to 2 serving per day.
Eating Habit contributes to having good health or bad health. We are what we eat. If we eat unhealthy foods, our health is also unhealthy. We are likely to develop cardiovascular diseases and cancers depending of the food type we eat. If we eat healthy foods, our body is also healthy. Maintaining balance diet improves our overall health. Eating habits can be modified according to the nutritional recommendations for Filipinos by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI). Bearing in mind these recommendations help ensure proper diet especially the changes being experienced as your body matures. Your eating habits should revolve around these recommendations to become healthier. Remember, your nutritional needs should not be neglected as you participate in active recreational activities.
The active life is a magnet that attracts a composite of behaviors or habits, that when viewed one at a time, seems too simplistic to be valued. However, eating and our body’s response to eating are some of the most intriguing concepts of health. Our body uses the nutrients from the food that we eat. The more healthy food we eat, the more our body can be healthy. Eating alone is also not enough in making good health. Exercise contributes also to improve our physical, mental, social health. Eating is an intentional act. Each day people choose from the available food, prepare the food, decide where to eat, which rules to follow, and with whom to dine with. These make up your eating habits. Self control should be consider in achieving a balance diet.
